Waste management for telecommunications companies: the case of Telefónica

To curb climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, EU directives have become stricter, requiring companies to fully monitor the waste they generate from the beginning to the end.

In order to achieve this total traceability, large corporations must implement waste reduction guidelines for all their related companies as well as contractors and suppliers.

This is the case of Spanish multinational Telefónica, the leading telecommunications company in Europe and fifth in the world, operating in 13 countries.
